Magic Lasso Adblock v4.5 is a complete redesign of the user-friendly, privacy aware and platform-native Safari ad blocker for the iPhone, iPad and Mac. Version 4.5 delivers a "powerfully simple ad blocking experience" with simplified ad, tracker and annoyance blocking. The redesign better surfaces all of the app’s features and we’ve also focused on making advanced features, like Custom Rule creation, more accessible. Version 4.5 also includes these great new features from recent releases: - Performance Insights – see the difference ad blocking makes and visualise ad blocking speed, energy efficiency and data savings for any site. You can use the Magic Lasso Pro web extension in Safari to see the ad blocking speed increase, energy savings, carbon reduction, data savings and the number of ads and trackers prevented. And with Insights on the Overview screen of the Magic Lasso app, you can view the data and energy saved, along with the average speed increase and total number of ads blocked since you enabled Magic Lasso. - Tap to Block – Simply tap any element on a web page and watch it disappear from your view, ensuring it never disturbs your browsing again. And thanks to Tap to Block’s intelligence, any similar or repeating elements on the page, or across the whole site will also be removed. Adjustments are easy using the Expand or Contract buttons for refining your selection. Additionally, the Hide button provides an instant preview of the page without the selected elements visible. Advanced users seeking direct control can edit the resulting CSS to allow for precise selection and more sophisticated logic. - Custom Rules – Craft your own ad blocking rules to block media, cookies, and JavaScript. Custom Rules complement Magic Lasso’s built-in ad blocking rules to ensure a faster, cleaner, and more personalised browsing experience. Custom Rules can apply to specific pages, all pages from a given site, or all web pages. Better yet, these rules seamlessly sync across your devices via iCloud, ensuring consistent ad blocking across all Apple platforms. After updating, open the app to ensure you are using the most recent ad block rules. |
